So the smallest small – my Alice Mae, plays rugby for Fairford Vixens and their 2022 season is about to get underway! Who better to ‘player sponsor’ the little shit than the mothership!
She is undoubtedly the most challenging of my three offspring but in ways, you’d never imagine! To say she is a character is an understatement. I love the fire in her belly, her passion, and her team spirit.
I am wishing the Vixens well this season. There was a moment when I trained with them on ‘bring a friend’ week when all my nerves were put aside purely on the elation that my daughter wanted to be my friend!! (or maybe she had no-one else to take, but I parked that idea)
What has been amazing to watch during her transition from her beloved football to rugby (because they needed a kicker) was her dawning realisaton that she had found her people! Friendships for life are being forged, many beers down the hatch and laughter and love all the way – Go Alice – I am so proud of you and I will be cheering you on this season for sure!
