We got a dog! A random moment in the right place at the right time found our family the right dog!
Meet Harley, half Labrador, half Cocker Spaniel – a Cockador! His parents are both working gundogs (dad Lab, mum Spaniel)
He was born on July 13th and came to our home 8 weeks old and very small – how things changed though!
At the moment he is 6 months old and has some training. Good recall, offers a paw, sits and lays down and he’s fairly good at walking to heel.
Very quickly the ‘no dogs on the sofa rule’ went out the window!
He only cried a little bit the first night and he has largely been a very good boy! I may have to find a new level of tolerance with my gardening as he is a digger!
His favourite things – a stick, Alice and puppy paws (the act of wiping his paws) followed by a treat!
Book reading is impossible but he is so adorable he is easily forgiven! He’s been hashing and LOVES having a run with everyone.
