Indian Block Printing with Cath Kidston Padgham MBE

I met the wonderful Cath Kidston Padgham MBE today at the inspirational Charlie Dobbs Events Indian Block Printing Workshop using Cath’s designs! It was an amazing day in a truly amazing location. Charlie and her team were there on hand to welcome us upon arrival. Refreshments were served, vibrant coffee and indulgent cake served in pretty Emma Bridgewater pottery setting the scene for the day. The course was held at Ham Court in Bampton owned by Matthew Rice, illustrator and artist who introduced himself at the start of the workshop, which was a wonderfully ambient setting for the day. Fear not if you book onto Charlie Dobbs Event on your own because within seconds you’re friends with everyone and made to feel very welcome. At the start of the workshop was a discussion with Tess from the Indian block Print Co and Cath and we all were inspired by Cath and her honest viewpoint on her life in business and the highs and lows, and her inspiration for her fragrance range C. Atherly and her block designs with the Indian block print. Lunch was divine, totally Insta worthy with the candleit dining, warmed by a log burner and the most sensational food. After an afternoon of crafting and creations we all left ( albeit in a huge rainstorm) with warmth in our hearts for the wholesome day we had experienced and our creations tucked in our bags.

I cannot recommend this day enough. This course, this location, these people… it was so beautiful and engaging and I took so much from the day not just for the the new skills learnt but from the welcome and the attention to detail that Charlie and her team achieved, creating a feeling of delight, achievement and accomplishment! Do book on the next event!

You won’t regret it!
